We first met our fabulous Sam at the National Wedding Show and boy did she know what she wanted! Ellie Sanderson’s Mum rushed over asking for assistance as there was a girl inquiring about our Jenny Packham Esme gown and she knew then and there it was her dress! The only minor issue was she hadn’t tried it on before and didn’t want to! This girl was on a weight loss mission and wow did she work hard!
Sam and Andy were married at the stunning Ladies Pavillion, Central Park, New York City in May 2014. They celebrated at the gorgeous Boathouse restaurant for dinner after with just close family. Sam has a tip for any bride-to-be planning a similar elopement; “Stay calm and (TRY) not to get too caught up in the idea of the fairy tale and the huge perfect wedding unless you’re sure it’s what you really want. It happened to us. We rushed in to it without thinking about what we really wanted.”
“The result was £2500 in cancellation charges and some rather awkward ‘un-save the dates’ when we changed our minds. However, eloping with very close family was, for us, the absolute best choice. It was such a personal and intimate day full of love.”
Sam looked absolutely breathtaking in her gown; we are incredibly impressed with how well she knew what she wanted, and we think she pulled the look off perfectly! Sam never looked back once and still maintains that the dress played a huge part in the day being ‘the most amazing day of my life so far.’
The first time Sam came in to try her very own dress on she had some exciting news to share! We weren’t just having to dress her on her special day; we were having to dress her and her bump! “I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for everything you did to allow my dress to be so beautiful and for being so flexible with all of my changes in dates, times, and locations for the fittings!! The adjustments we made to the dress really helped with my mini baby bump, especially by the end of the evening!! I was getting stopped all day by people in the streets telling me how beautiful the dress was.”
Sam even managed to walk for miles around Central Park in her stunning gown; albeit holding the dress up around her knees to protect the dress! We do love our Sam and her priorities!
One last piece of advice from our beautiful married Sam, “Enjoy the engagement and enjoy every second of the wedding day because it’s true what everyone says, it goes by in such a whirlwind and you will want to go back and do it again and again! I do already.”
We wish you so much love and happiness in your married life Sam, we miss your visits! We cannot wait to see pictures of your baby boy when he is born; a big congratulations again and we all hope it is an easy pregnancy for you!
