It only feels like a few years since we opened in the gorgeous market town of Beaconsfield. Time flies when you’re having fun – can you believe it’s actually been 17 years since we opened our doors? Since then, Number 1 London End has become a beacon, quite literally – a landmark of the old town. People meet up outside the boutique, use our location as a pinpoint in road directions and, of course, stop to stare at the latest dresses in our windows. We’ve even had the odd proposal outside. We also seem to be the place for people to ask “Where is the Crazy Bear?”, which we’ve linked for you just in case you’re after the same information!

School children stare as they pass on the school bus, taking pictures of the latest dress in the window. The girls that went before them are now getting married and are standing in the shop saying: ” I always wanted to come in and now it’s my turn”. I get emotional when brides tell us of their journey to our door.
It’s a privilege and an honour to be held in such high esteem by our clients. We are forever grateful and lucky to be at Number 1 London End.

So, what are we doing to celebrate our 17th year?
Usually we would have a party, but this time the boutique is having a fantastic new “glow up” instead. We have been planning this for a very long time – somehow the time was never right and closing was never an option, we always seem too busy. However, I literally woke up with an idea and this idea means we don’t have to close at all.
You guessed it, we are moving. The whole shop, all the dresses, veils and accessories, the stylists, production Laura, Sarah and I are moving to a temporary location just 150 metres down the road. When I initially explained this to the team they thought I had lost my marbles, but now they are just as super excited as Sarah and I.
Number 1 London End will close – temporarily – on 17th August, for the glow up to begin.
Ellie Sanderson Bridal Beaconsfield’s temporary new home
We love our temporary home at 30 London End . As I type, the painters, electricians, carpet men and my wonderful husband are in there making it just perfect for us to move into on the 19th of August. Keep an eye out for us on the Sunday 18th – we will be the ones running up and down London End with light fittings, rugs, kettles, dresses and champagne!

I am not going to lie – I am stressed, excited and stuck to the roof most days. This is no small job, but it is a necessary one. I thought August would be quiet and we could move without being noticed, however August is almost fully booked so there is no chance of that happening.
How our new glow up will align us with Kiddington
It has bothered me for 18 months that Kiddington is super cool and modern, and Beaconsfield didn’t feel the same. Now I’m excited that both shops will eventually have the same Ellie Sanderson brand feel. Our mural will be painted, once again, by the same amazing Italian artist Mari Revotella, and our style and design touches will be the same. I’m not a lover of plain white and block out white curtains – I feel it’s so cold and lacks personality. So, instead, we are surrounding ourselves with beautiful design pieces, lots of light, natural wood and soft textures. That’s literally all I am saying about the new-look Ellie Sanderson Bridal in Beaconsfield…
