Suzanne Neville is the queen of red-carpet dressing and one of the UK’s most iconic bridal designers. It’s fair to say Ellie is obsessed with Suzanne’s exquisite gowns, which are guaranteed to make any bride look sensational.

Our Ellie is getting married In June this year and Suzanne is making her a bespoke dress – watch this space! This love affair with Suzanne clearly runs in the family though with four of Ellie’s nieces choosing to wear Suzanne Neville on their wedding day too.

With weddings spanning back almost 10 years, each bride showed off their individual personalities and sense of style in some of the most incredible wedding dresses. Here’s a little look at Ellie’s ‘nieces in Neville’…

SARAH IN SPELLBOUND, 2013

Sarah originally came into our Oxford boutique searching for a boho wedding dress, but instantly fell in love with the super-glam Spellbound by Suzanne Neville. The beautiful bias cut, crepe wedding gown featured Suzanne’s famous structured boning, which manages to create a knock-out silhouette while still feeling so comfortable you have no idea it’s there! Sarah looked utterly radiant when she walked in and everyone literally gasped! Ellie also cried with pride at how effortlessly beautiful she looked.

The one-shouldered style added a cool, fashion-forward feel, while the embellished belt brought a hint of sparkle.

If you’re after a similar look, we’d recommend trying on the beautiful one-shouldered Sentiment from Suzanne Neville’s 2021 Modern Love Collection, or the beautifully-flowy Serenity from her 2022 Nova Collection.

Sarah’s lucky enough to have a multi award-winning bridal photographer (and the exclusive photographer partner to Ellie Sanderson Bridal Boutiques) as her uncle, who captured her day so perfectly. Mainly covering weddings in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and London, we are all huge fans of David Bostock Photography at Ellie Sanderson!

EMMA IN LEADING LADY, 2014

It feels like Leading Lady was made for Emma – another of Ellie’s ‘nieces in Neville’. Emma had described her dress to Ellie for years and so when her time came they both knew it had to be a ballgown. The timeless Ivory silk organza with structured bodice and full circle skirt showed off her wonderful figure, while the French lace sleeves added a romantic touch. Emma personalised her dress by changing the sleeve length a little too.

Perfectly complemented with tumbling curls and veil, Emma looked stunning. In fact, we think she gives Kate Middleton a run for her money in this chic design!

If you’re in love with Emma’s classic style, take a look at the dreamy Hailey from Suzanne Neville’s 2022 Nova Collection.

As cousins, it’s no surprise that Emma and Sarah both asked their talented uncle to photograph their day. Thanks again to David Bostock Photography for the fantastic shots.

CHARLOTTE IN A BESPOKE BALLGOWN, 2018

When you choose a designer like Suzanne Neville at our Ellie Sanderson studios, there is always the option to tweak your gown for a really personal touch. Charlotte did exactly this, resulting in an utterly bespoke ballgown that made her look, and feel, a million dollars.

Bride in bespoke Suzanne Neville gown

Suzanne Neville’s signature tailoring gave a classic feel, while the lace bodice, button-down back and ribbon belt were the icing on the cake. Charlotte looked so beautifully elegant on her big day, and we love how her chic up-do let the dress do the talking. Charlotte was so nervous about finding a dress that would work with her curves and make her feel fabulous. Ellie insisted on a calico put all the nerves to bed, its basically a test pattern where necklines can be checked and waist-points confirmed and you test drive your design before the dress is made.

NIKKI IN DELPHINE, 2018

Jaws dropped when Nikki made her entrance in the heavenly Delphine. Featuring a deep plunge, slinky skirt and ribbon belt, this dress has the wow-factor in spades, and Nikki looked absolutely gorgeous in this unique gown.

Nikki bride in Delphine

Her loose up-do, glowing complexion and beaming smile were all the accessories she needed. We adore her whole look; radiant, modern, cool – utterly nailed it! For the evening reception, Nikki wore the embellished belt her cousin Sarah wore for her wedding – the perfect something borrowed. Ellie recalls the moment Nikki said yes, it was in fact at home in Ellies lounge. Yes, thats what happens when your Aunty owns over 40 Suzanne Neville dresses. Nikki literally couldn’t decide so Ellie packed up two dresses and they took them home to decide over wine, parading up and down the lounge with Nikki’s mum Helen watching. What a wonderful moment and life memory.
