Today’s gorgeous bride and groom created a fabulous day with some incredibly personal touches; we have been swooning over their pics here at Ellie Sanderson HQ!

Alex and Simon were married at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, a seriously spectacular venue, with Alexandra wearing a beautiful Sassi Holford number, to match their lovely English wedding.

Alex first saw her dress at the National Wedding show before immediately booking with us to come try in our boutique, and the rest is history. The simple but stunning silk crepe Jessica is a fantastic and flattering dress; here Alex wore her with the striking Jessica Coat with exquisite ricamo edging as a romantic lace overlay. She teamed the lovely layered gown with a hair vine stitched on to a band for her chic pixie cut hair, and a floating veil for the ceremony.

The couple went with a Bridges theme as Simon proposed on Hammersmith Bridge, this included a cake and table names designed with lots of the world bridges that the couple had crossed together (could you get more romantic?!). Their favours were 10 of their favourite recipes wrapped around hand-painted wooden spoons for every guest – with baby spoons for the 3 babes in arms.

The couple organised a Guess the First Dance sweepstake to keep guests entertained – guests paid £1 to guess the song and then the proceeds went to Marie Curie.

In Alex’s own works “The best moment of the day is so hard to sum up (it is truly the best day of your life) but it must have been walking down the aisle – seeing all of our friends and family for the first time and Simon grinning. It felt like all our hard work had paid off and we could just relax and enjoy a wonderful day with everyone who came to celebrate with us.”

And some advice for other brides “Sit back and enjoy the day; don’t worry about anything. At dinner try to get round to every table in between courses to speak to all the guests!”
