Today’s real bride had two fabulous weddings with two distinct styles, one here in our very own Oxford where the couple met whilst studying and one back home in the Czech Republic.

After weeks of cold, wet weather last May the night before Eric and Natalie’s big day the sun came out and shone on our dreaming spires here in Oxford, simply perfect! The couple were married in St Mary’s Church on the High Street in central Oxford, where 66 years earlier Eric’s grandfather had wed his grandmother on a sunny summers day just like our lovely couple; how romantic!

Their celebrations continued with a drinks reception at Balliol College gardens, the brides college whilst studying, with classical music in the background. Followed by dinner and evening entertainment in Divinity School, Old Bodleian Library; the location of the couple’s second date and also the oldest original lecture room from the University’s early period. The use of such personal venues is a great way of creating  an individual, distinctive and ever so special day.

Natalie and Eric had a short mini-moon in Tuscany before the festivities continued in a rather warmer Czech Republic. The family celebrated with a late afternoon ceremony at the bride’s parent’s home where the couple recited their own vows – Eric who is British-Australian born, surprising the crowd by learning his in Czech, the bride’s first language – such a beautiful touch.

Natalie wore a stunning bespoke Suzanne Neville gown, with soft, floating silk organza skirt and a detailed lace bodice. The look was completed with a delicate long sleeved lace jacket – the perfect gown to match both of their celebrations. Natalie gave us a few words on her beautiful gown “It was a heavenly…Suzanne Neville’s gown and jacket were a dream! The dress was exactly what I was looking for, I still cannot believe it was the first dress I tried, and my husband and I love it and still talk about it… Like a beautiful cloud of silk, it was just the perfect central piece of a perfect day. So thank you so much for being so supportive and helpful.”

It was an absolute pleasure helping you find your gown Natalie, congratulations to you and Eric.
