University sweethearts Sam and Bertie met in their first term studying at Oxford Brookes back in 2006 and the rest as they say is history! They were married last month in the most Oxford themed celebrations possible; ceremony at St Giles Church (less than 500m from our Oxford boutique) and reception at the Cherwell Boathouse in North Oxford.

Sam wore the stunning Giselle by Suzanne Neville, relaxed and easy to wear, Giselle’s clean lines and detailing create a chic modern look that Sam definitely rocked from the minute she put the gown on! Sam wasn’t the only one rocking their wedding outfit, Bertie who is originally from Scotland, wore tailor made trews in his family tartan by Clements and Church, our neighbours in Oxford, definitely keeping things local!

Sam and Bertie wanted a relaxed garden part vibe with good food and wine, and the Boathouse seemed like the perfect choice. Local suppliers were used for everything else as they both love supporting local and small businesses. A lot of their decorations were hand made, they’ve been hoarding since their engagement in January 2015, well it was definitely worth it as their day looked gorgeous!

A few words from Sam; “We went on mini moon to Andronis Boutique Hotel in Santorini and it was AMAZING, our big honeymoon is to Dubai and Mauritius over Christmas 2016 to finish the year with a bang!”

It was an absolute pleasure having you as one of our brides Sam, a massive congratulations to you a Bertie from Ellie and all the girls x
