We have another gorgeous real bride for you today, not to mention a gorgeous bell ringing bride…that’s right the lovely Wendy married her groom Steve last September, and even had some time after the ceremony for a spot of bell ringing!
Wendy and Steve were married in a civil ceremony at The Elvetham, a stunningly beautiful building which was the location for the first performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare in front of Queen Elizabeth I. A Service of Prayer & Dedication at St. James’ Church Pangbourne followed, where Wendy, a keen bell ringer, rang for her gathered family and friends. The congregation then returned to the Elvetham for the reception, which we hear was filled with dinner, dancing and drinking into the wee hours! Nothing like a spot of bell ringing to work up an appetite!
Wendy wore the amazing Laura by Sassi Holford which was love at first sight. Laura is hand crafted from a mixture of elegant lace and ivory crepe, with a small train for some gorgeous impact, completed by a lace covered bodice to flatter and soften the look. Wendy teamed this with a beautiful headpiece and some amazing red roses for a splash of colour – stunning!
Wendy and Steve met on a blind date at a rugby game, so rugby played a big part in decorating their reception with rugby themed table names and rugby balls on each table. Their flowers featured some glorious blues and ivorys, from mixes of roses, hydrangeas and delphiniums, matching the bridesmaids and groom.
By the sounds of it Wendy and Steve had an amazing day; we have to say bell ringing in a wedding dress is a first for us at Ellie Sanderson!
Congratulations to the lovely couple, we hope you are loving married life.
Love from Ellie and the girls x
