Fran + George  | 11.08.18
Today we’re talking to Fran, stunning Fran and her handsome beau George who had a beautiful back garden wedding following their church ceremony. Wearing Sassi Holford, accessorised with a Augusta Jones lace jacket and Alex Monroe necklace Fran looked the perfect summer bride. Read on to be inspired by their day…
Team ES | Tell us about your proposal?
Fran | George proposed to me whilst we were Kayaking down the River Severn at sunset and of course I said yes!
Team ES | Did you pick up any tips during the planning stage?
Fran | My top planning tip would be to get all the big important things booked first, then focus on the little details of the wedding.
Â
 Â
Team ES | What was your wedding dress experience like?
Fran | Ellie Sanderson was the only wedding dress shop I visited! I was given incredible service by Eira, who helped me to find exactly what I was looking for.
Team ES | How did you choose the ‘THE ONE’?
Fran | I knew that I wanted my dress to look quite simple, classic and elegant. I chose to wear a Sassi Holford gown paired with a delicate Augusta Jones lace jacket and a two tier diamante veil.
Team ES | What did you love most about your dress? Â
Fran |Â I loved the way that I could wear my dress as two different ways! I took off the lace jacket in the evening and put a diamante belt round my waist.
Team ES | How did you decide on your flowers?
Fran | I looked in botanical books and magazines as well as Pinterest for inspiration. I showed our florist some photos and she brought our vision to life!

Team ES | Where did you get your wedding inspiration from?
Fran | We had our wedding reception in a marquee in the garden so we had quite a homemade rustic theme for our wedding.
Team ES | Did you walk down the aisle to a particular song?
Fran | We had a Christian service in a beautiful old Church in Thame. I walked down the aisle to the traditional bridal march.
Team ES | What about your first dance song and did you practice your dance or completely wing it?
Fran | Our first dance song was ‘It Must Be Love’ by Madness, a song that we are both very fond of. We decided to wing it on the day. We look back at the video of it now and laugh, maybe we should have practiced!
    Â
Team ES | Most memorable moment of the day?Â
Fran | Walking down the Aisle and seeing George there waiting for me was definitely the most memorable moment for me!
Team ES | Tips for brides to be, what one thing would you recommend?
Fran | To enjoy every moment as the day goes by in a flash!
Team ES | What are you both up to now, did you go on honeymoon?
Fran | It was a very busy summer! We moved into our new house and both of us started new jobs! We went to Dubrovnik, Croatia for our honeymoon straight after our wedding. We had the most amazing time together!
