Behind the scenes, the experience is equally deliberate and totally focussed. With in-house and personalised fittings with a highly skilled team, every dress is refined with precision. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is overlooked and we are with you all the way.

How we Buy
With my retail background and years of fashion buying, I had the perfect platform to shape the kind of collections I wanted to sell at Ellie Sanderson.
Each of my studios has its own unique personality, so I carefully tailor the collections to match the bride who shops there. I use stylist feedback, focus groups and trends to help me curate the right collection – this means you don’t have to as we have done all the hard work. I choose designs that are unique and allow our brides to be individual.
I’m totally dedicated to staying on top of emerging trends and sought-after brands. I want to ensure we have the perfect mix of the latest must-have labels alongside our most iconic ones.
We proudly work with carefully selected designers whose ethical values perfectly align with our own. We’re also incredibly proud that over 60% of the designers we sell at Ellie Sanderson are made here in the UK.

Every Ellie Sanderson bride’s journey begins with our Dream Dress Quiz.
In just three minutes, we’ll help you discover your bridal style based on the way you’re choosing to celebrate your marriage, giving us a wonderful starting point before we meet.
Then before your appointment, we’ll also connect with you on WhatsApp for your very own discovery call. This gives us the opportunity to understand your vision, answer any questions and carefully curate a selection of gowns ready for your arrival.
We’ll introduce styles you may never have considered and, where possible, discuss bespoke design options, ensuring your dress feels uniquely yours from the very beginning.
We don’t simply wait for you to arrive. We begin planning your appointment before you walk through the door making you relaxed and ready to find the one.

Your FIRST APPOINTMENT
A calm, one-to-one experience
- You can easily book in advance on our website as we have a super easy online booking system that operates 24-7. Oh yes we never sleep!
- We will call you ahead of your appointment to chat about your three favourite dresses and have them ready and waiting for you.
- No need to be nervous and come prepared to find your dress, most girls buy one of the first 3 or 4 they try !!
- No need to bring shoes, we have that covered, but do try to wear nude undies and keep your fake tan for another day.
- We ask that you bring no more than three guests, we are not a wedding factory and so our space is limited.

Finding your dress is just the beginning. As an Ellie bride, you’ll receive an exclusive invitation to Ellie By Invitation – our private bridal community designed to support and inspire you throughout your wedding journey.
There’s space to chat, ask Ellie questions and hang out with other brides.
Enjoy access to trusted partners including Emmy London, Freya Rose and Victoria Percival, alongside exclusive styling events, wellbeing evenings, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride experiences, and special offers reserved just for our brides.

Your FITTINGS
0-3 MONTHS AHEAD OF YOUR WEDDING, IN-HOUSE OR ON LOCATION WITH OUR SEAMSTRESS TEAM
Fitting your wedding dress is a vital part of the service we offer, with 19 years experience we have a superb team of technically brilliant couture fitters that work with us.
- Firstly, we will advise you which fitting service is offered when you buy your dress.
- You mostly have two fittings in your dress.
- Remember this is your actual dress, so try to keep your makeup to a minimum.
- We offer on our Couture dresses a Made to Measure and calico service, these are fitted in house by our expert couture level fitters.
- We offer a standard size or a split size dress and these can be either fitted in store or in our dressmakers studio.
- The other service we offer is directly with the same fitters at their studios. This service is much more flexible and is available over weekends and variety of days and late nights.
PS. Timelines for made-to-measure and calico service are different to standard dress sizes, you will be advised individually about your dress.

I’ve spent nearly two decades making sure that experience – from the very first quiz to the final fitting – feels exactly as it should.

I am also the one who travels to find designers I genuinely believe in. I’m still just as invested in every bride who walks through our doors as I was when I opened Ellie Sanderson in 2007. Honestly is it my one true love.
