LINDSEY BY SASSI HOLFORD, marks the return of the strap!!

What a fabulous event, we exhibited in the designer area directly in front of the stage and right next door to BRIDES magazine champagne bar by accident of course.

The show was sensational marking a number of design trends, the return of the strap and SASSI HOLFORD is leading the way with designs like Paola, venus and Lindsey all with straps and all totally stylish and a bit different. So if you love straps either in chiffon, silk or zibeline Sassi is worth a good look. (picuted above is Lindsey)

Other trends were the continued success of lace, particularly luxurious corded lace with great texture. STEWART PARVIN uses lace in his 2008 collection and has some amazing lace gowns in fishtail shapes and full flowing skirts with slim waists and detailed bodices, all topped of with glamorous boleros like cappucine. Stewart is totally full on Classic and timeless glamour, if you haven’t seen his gowns check out his website for his full range.,

The next totally gorgeous trend is the Grecian look with lots of designers capturing this look in their 2008 collection. Soft, floaty, empire lines with detail, straps and floaty trains are great for lots of figure types. Once again SASSI HOLFORD has the most produced the most elegant Grecian gown on the catwalk, have a look its called VENUS. Stephanie Allin has also captured this look with gowns like Sienna and artemis made in pure silk with braiding details to the corset line.

Finally the JEWELS!!!, Tiaras seem to be taking a back seat to fascinators with feathers and lots of movement, combs with stunning silk flowers and very elaborate hair jewells…………………. I have comissioned some beautiful one off hair pieces to capture this so if you fancy a look just pop in.
